This autumn and winter should be a happier time with the lead up to Christmas 2009, especially as the country is coming out of recession and people are starting to enjoy spending some money once again. If you haven't already started buying clothes for your winter wardrobe then here are some top style tips in plain English:-
- This seasons top colours to look out for are red, pink, black and purple. Actually wearing pink and black together is big news and will really start to take off.

- Boho fashion is the business! Boho with a bit of a twist actually, blending chic glamour with boho will work a treat.
- Oversized and fitted blazer jackets and suits with rolled up sleeves. If your boyfriends wont fit you then I'm afraid it's off to the shops.
- Shoulder pads are back! Our team haven't decided yet if that's a good thing or bad?
- For the women with little ankle bite daughters out there it's going to be socially acceptable to dress them like mini me's! However, bear in mind that this method could prove to be more expensive and end in tears.
- Daytime sequins are splashed all over the shops. Patterned dresses, blouses even trousers are all boasting sequins to add some sparkle to your typical mundane Monday!
- Studded clothes. If you're not keen on sequined clothes then studs could be your cup of tea. Studded leather and for those money wise girls, - pleather (false leather) pants/leggings will be in season this autumn and winter.
- Hard versus soft. This is not a debate but merely a suggestion that along with biker fashion, wearing hard materials in contrast against soft will be all the rage.
- Military jackets and military fashion. Brought in to pay homage to the great Michael Jackson of course.
- Victorian cocktail dresses and antique florals. Vintage fashion is always a winner.
