Rachel Zoe says go big this season!

You may remember that I absolutely adore the one and only stylist to the stars, the completely “bananas”, Rachel Zoe.

Although Rachel is currently enjoying the airing of her season 3 “Rachel Zoe Project” on US TV right now, god knows how long it’ll be before it hits UK screens.  However, I have managed to track down a segment of a US show called “Live With Regis and Kelly” which was aired recently (and can someone tell me why Piers Morgan was presenting?)

Anyhow, on said programme was a great feature with the lovely Rachel, who went through what she saw to be the main fashion trends for AW10 (and if one of the world’s most famous stylists, with a host of celeb clients, tells me something, who am I to doubt her?)  Fair enough, our Piers ended up looking like a gay yeti, but that aside, I think she gave us some great tips including:

  •           Aviator or cat’s eye sunnies (probably not needed in Shropshire in winter but you never know)

  •           Oversized scarves

  •          Smaller hats

  •           Faux fur

  •           Messenger bags

  •           Thigh high boots

  •           Signature necklaces

See for yourself what Rachel has to say, in this link to the programme http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxIbKQTDeV8.

She does mention that if you’re going to wear a signature necklace, do keep the rest of your jewellery minimal, perhaps opting for a slim bracelet.

Fancy a quick run through of some potential signature necklaces?  Thought so.  Here’s a couple that I’ve selected for you (how thoughtful am I?)

This black bead necklace has a silver chain with bunched silver balls, leading to a chunky black bead and finished off with a swallow bird charm.  I love the uniqueness of this necklace, and it will look fabulous with a v cut evening dress.  Only £4.99.

And what about this black and silver twist necklace?  It’s literally packed with silver charms with beadwork and cord detail leading to a black enamel medal, embellished with crystals.  It’s ethnic, it’s funky – it’s fabulous (and it’s only £5.99).

And finally, this is new in stock and I think adds a slightly more “street” look to an outfit.  It’s a purple and black charm necklace.  The chain itself is made from leather, and dangling from it you have a mix of charms and chains.  Only £4.99.

Be prepared to make a statement this season!
