Glamour puss Dita von Teese has had a busy week by all accounts. The burlesque stripper/model/dancer /entertainer was brought in to promote Virgin Airline’s ten years of flying non-stop from London to Vegas (we haven’t had as much as a limp bacon butty for travelling on the non-stop East Coast Mainline for what feels like forever!)
Sir Richard Branston Pickle was understandably delighted at this prospect, swooping the delectable Dita up into his arms for a PR shot. The girl herself has been immortalised on the side of one of the aircraft, forever to fly through the clouds, like the goddess she truly is.
And then on Sunday she made some fruit scones and watched EastEnders in her PJs (well ok, we made that bit up). Here she is in all her scarlet splendour.
We in the Seasonsonline office absolutely love Dita. Why? Well firstly because no-one can figure out what nationality she is – seen here flying the British flag, yet performing with Germany’s entry in last year’s Eurovision and yet again hailing from the US.
But mainly because whether she’s tottering around looking like Sir Branson’s British Wonderwoman in a scarlet bathing costume especially designed to crack four ribs, or in a German uniform, the woman remains at all times, utterly “finished” (as my mum would say). The hair perfectly coiffed, the makeup immaculate, the outfit always stylish and shoes which would make a tight rope walker pale.
Dita = glamour. It’s as simple as that.
In this photo, she’s using accessories beautifully, jazzing up what is an admittedly beautifully tailored dress, but with that colouring, one which could fall into the ranks of being a little dull. Our Dita’s using a handily-matched hair fascinator (tip – “HUGE” this season and not just for weddings) to liven it up, without looking over the top, and the result? Simply stunning.
Fascinators come in all shapes and sizes, and can be used with both prints and plain designs – just be careful to match your colours correctly! We have a whole selection of them on our site including this one, which is one of our favourites.
Working particularly well with Dita’s fifties “wave”, up-dos or bobs, you can easily turn a daytime outfit, regardless of the colour, into an evening outfit – just add some heels and a small piece of glitter and you’re good to go. You can pick up this fascinator for just £6.99 from our online store, and the bracelet below, also on our site, is only £4.50 – what a bargain!
