Do you know what? I’m going restrain myself somewhat today and not waffle on too much about the latest trends hitting the high street and which celeb is wearing what. Why? Because I’ve just seen the latest collection by Elie Saab.
Remember we talked about how one of the main themes of AW10 will be luxury, with lots of reds, blacks and purples, lace and velvet? Well ladies, how about this then?
Sumptuous, elegant and absolutely nothing short of breathtaking. Featured on the catwalk at the recent Couture Fashion Week, Elie’s designs are true fairytale glamour.
If you’ve never heard of him before, Elie hails from the Lebanon and, designing from a very early age, set up his own fashion house as a teenager, originally specialising in eveningwear and wedding gowns. His outfits are available in Harrods, but you can bet that some of the more upmarket high street stores will be copying some of his designs, just in time to pick up some stunning Christmas party dresses.
And finally – for all you brides to be, just tell me you wouldn’t sell your future husband in a heartbeat to wear this creation for a day…
No doubt worth more than my mortgage, girly gasps were heard around the office when we clapped eyes on this little number from Elie. Isn’t it just the stereotypical fairytale princess dress? (Without the Disney theme). Which leads me to ask the question – what on earth would you wear with that?
This crystal and pearl net set has an almost Elizabethan feel to it, so would be ideal for any of you who are opting for a period-style wedding. Subtle, yet elegant, it would certainly compliment a lower cut dress or corset without looking too ostentatious.
As you know, our wedding jewellery can literally go within hours, so make sure you snap yours up. It’s available as a necklace and earrings set for just £12.99 from www.seasonsonline.co.uk.
Keep an eye on this designer, ladies, and see if you can spot any high street copies of his outfits! In the meantime, let’s dream on…
