We’re all going mad for fuschia

It’s one of the key colours for this season, but what’s great about fuchsia fashion is that it’s also tipped to still be on trend for AW10 as a colourful accessory to all our usual black and greys which abound during the colder, darker months.

A mixture of red and pink, fuchsia suits all skin and hair colours, including redheads.  Whether you choose to go all out and wear a fuchsia dress or playsuit; or whether you simply use it in your accessories, it’s guaranteed to lift the outfit.

We haven’t heard from the luscious Liz Hurley much since her days with “Who” Grant, but here she is this week, having a romantic break in Paris with her husband, Arun Nayar.

Now, I have to be honest with you, I’m not entirely keen on this outfit, which to my mind looks a little small up top to be coping with Liz’s ample cleavage.  She’s gone a little Pamela Anderson I feel, squishing her assets into a very low neckline and it looks like she could reveal more than her salary at any moment – not a good look for a 45 year old woman (but I’m sure many of you will disagree!)  However, that colour with her tan (which miraculously disappeared by that evening when Liz appeared wearing a lilac gown) is fun, frivolous and extremely girly – absolutely spot on for a warm Paris day.

Fuchsia outfits are all over the stores at the moment, but if the whole look is too garish for you, then we’ve got some fabulous accessories which will make sure you’re in style.

This pretty necklace combines gold shapes and purple beads with an offset Gold mesh heart motif.  The gold chain will look fantastic against a golden tan, with the beads adding a little bit of colour to the whole collection.  It’s available from Seasonsonline for £5.99.

Alternatively, simply scrape your hair up and enjoy the sunshine with this wonderful hair clip.

This would look fabulous perched atop a casual ponytail, for an informal evening out .  The mix of purple and pink petals, set into the black flower, with additional crystal stones, makes it stylish and elegant, rather than glitzy.  The fuchsia hair clip is available for £4.50.

Make the most of summer by embracing this wonderful colour!
